TYPE JOURNAL - week 8

This week I decided to compare and contrast 2 website designs focusing on their use of typography. I was browsing the Millersville University store and the first thing I  though when I got to the page, was how horrible the design was. Not only is the overall design bad, the type makes it so much worse. They use a script typeface for the small links that are barely legible at a larger size let alone so small. This typeface is found throughout the rest of the page randomly placed and in no way os descriptive of a link.

Below I added a website that I believed used very nice typography. Target uses a typeface with large counters in the "o" and it is very legible on screen. Everything is cohesive and if they do use more then one typeface, it is mixed very nicely and hardly noticeable.
