In honor of my upcoming menu project I decided to do my Type Journal on examples of what I want to use on my project. As of right now I am planning on creating a Grimm Brewery dealing with all the fairy-tales of the Grimm Brothers. The above example is a book I found that has the ornamentation that I am going for throughout my design. I also found the type treatment of this book to fit well with the almost terrifying vine texture. Below is a much different use of typface that I was planning on exploring more throughout my labels on the beer glasses. This is a Jessica Hishe Tom Sawer book cover that I really want to play off of her great use of type mixed with illustrations.
