In class we had to create figures out of type characters. The only requirements were that the type had to be from a publication and we were not allowed to cut the character in any way, but could add one embellishment. The first one I created really just hit me as being something different I used a question mark I that I found in an ad from a house and garden magazine and added some commas for the ears. The second one a created was also from an ad, but this time from a fashion magazine. I also added an embellishment with the wings on this one. For my final printout I choose to go with the cat, mostly because it was the first one I created and thought it worked well being simple and true to the original type character.
